Nintendo has announced the launch of two new sets of Joy-Con controllers for the Nintendo Switch console, boasting pleasing pastel colorways. This latest release marks a continuation of the company’s trend since 2017 of offering controllers in various color variants, with these new sets potentially being the best yet.
The two sets feature lighter shades of popular colors, with one set offering a pink and yellow pairing and the other a purple and green combination. For those who prefer a different pairing, like pink and purple, purchasing both sets will be necessary to mix and match.
The new pastel Joy-Con controllers will be available globally from June 30, with store pages for the controllers already live on Nintendo’s regional websites. The controllers will be priced the same as other limited edition Joy-Con pairings, at $79.99 / £69.99.
Potential buyers should note that these new pastel Joy-Con controllers are not updated hardware, meaning that they may still be susceptible to the commonly reported issue of Joy-Con drift. Despite this, the pleasing pastel shades represent some of the most attractive color choices Nintendo has chosen for its controller pairs so far.
